SODEW has taken another step beyond Europe – this time heading east. For the first time, it made its Asian debut at WordCamp Asia 2025 in Manila (Philippines), where it attracted great interest with its AI Builder and its unconventional approach: “Build a website in a minute and then pay what you want.” The SODEW team brought playfulness and simplicity to the Philippines – qualities that were appreciated by both freelancers and small business owners.

First Stop in Asia: New Contacts and Valuable Feedback

More than 1,400 people attended WordCamp Asia 2025 in Manila. The conference was held from February 20 to 22, 2025, at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC). In addition to in-person attendance, nearly 15,000 people joined the event online.

“The Philippines was a huge debut for us in Asia. We were curious how the local WordPress community would respond to our product – and I have to say, we’re thrilled! What people loved most was the ability to have a ready-made website in just a minute, without having to install or configure anything,” says Markéta Mikolášiková, Business Manager at SODEW.

During the two days of WordCamp, visitors created dozens of test websites, experimented with various designs, and showed strong interest in the “Pay What You Want” pricing model.
